Studio Design, Build and Installation

  • Title: TechWiseTV Studio, Cisco Campus, San Jose CA
  • TRT: 8 Month Process
  • Role: Project Manager, Designer and Lead Install Engineer
  • Basic Description: 

Main Stage -

  • 4 Panasonic P2  Camera and 1 Panasonic PTZ camera
  • One camera has a full Teleprompter System with program monitor
  • 8 wireless Clear-Com  belt packs and head sets
  • Full lighting & grip - Kino Flows and LED light on full dimmer system
  • 3 independent on set monitors via HD SDI from control room
  • Mac Mini with Wacom drawing monitor - DVI input to scan converter
  • 1 additional DVI input, and 2 VGA inputs feed 2  scan converters 
  • 2 standing sets for TechWise TV ( talk area has reversible wall  along with LED lighting changes to create another look for an internal show.

  • 4 Panasonic P2 recording Decks
  • 2 Folsom Scan Converters for on set computers 9 - DVI & VGA
  • 1 Image Pro 2 - Bringing Cisco Telepresence to studio
  • Mac Mini & Folsom for teleprompter / slide prompting
  • Panasonic Production Switcher
  • 4 Panasonic Studio Production Monitors with Scopes 
  • 2 42 inch LCD screens for room viewing
  • 2 Channel ClearCom Base system, with wired belt packs and head sets

  • 4 wireless mic LAV/E6  and wireless hand  held mics
  • 2 wireless IFB units
  • Schoeps Boom mic and pole
  • Digital Audio Mixing board
  • Multi DA units feeding all cameras and decks
  • Near field and control confidence speakers 
  • MP3 audio recorded
  • Stage announce speaker system  with Telepresence & Clear -Com tie in

Edit Suites A & B

  • 2 edit rooms running Adobe Premier Pro CC 2015 &  Red Giant plug ins
  • Each edit system uses a bare drive back up system, to 1 TB drives
  • Edit A - based on a MacPro ( trash can ) 64 GB RAM, 1TB internal drive, two 27inch  thunderbolt displays and a 4 TB Thunderbolt G-Technology Hard Drive. Input via a 3 slot P2 Panasonic Card Reader and 4 Slot CF Card Reader
  • Edit B - based on a new 27-inch iMac with 5K Retinal Display. 32GB RAM, 3TB Fusion Drive and a 4 TB Thunderbolt G-Technology Hard Drive. Input via a 3 slot P2 Panasonic Card Reader
